The Velez-Scope

My name is Luis Fernando Velez and I am a Mechanical Engineer who used to work as a university lecturer. All my life I have been involved in research concerning the human body in one way or another. My interest in Iridology started in 1986 after a two-year battle with asthma. At that time I visited several doctors and they all agreed that my illness was an incurable one. One day I went to see a Naturopath, who told me that nothing was wrong with my lungs and pointed out that my right kidney was responsible for the asthma attacks. She could see the cause of my illness just by looking into my iris. She then showed me the course of action to take in order to restore my health. After eight months of treatment my recovery was complete and up to this day there is no trace of the illness in me.

It was then that I began to study Iridology. When I was looking for the right instrument to observe the irises, I realised that nothing available in the market would allow me to make an accurate reading. I was encouraged by this difficulty to think about designing my own iriscope.
