However, the features which make the Velez-Scope unique are:
- The clip connectors that have been designed connects the magnifying glass and the light in such a way that it permits users to see the surface of the iris in very sharp and clear focus. This allows users to see the marks and colours of the iris without any reflection or distortion.
- It uses two lenses, 30mm in diameter which permits a wider view with 10x magnification.
- The brightness of the halogen lamp can be adjusted in order to allow a clear reading of the iris without disturbing the patient’s comfort.
